Summary:
Execute curriculum to teach English as a second language. Be accountable to parents and administration for managing students¡¦ safety, behavior and academic success. Work with other teachers in different activities and projects. Qualities of initiative, creativity, and ownership are paramount.
Job Functions:
„Q Properly use materials, methods, environment and assessment to ensure attainment of academic goals
„Q Supervise the classroom, helping the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others
„Q Maintain a creative and fun classroom environment
„Q Work effectively with other teachers and supervisors
Basic Qualifications:
„Q Native Speaker of English
„Q Understand early childhood behavior and management
„Q Have an understanding of the teaching of English as a second language
„Q Associates degree in education or junior/senior college student majoring in Education or related major
„Q At least 2 years of teaching experience
„Q Excellent written and communication skills

„Q Must enjoy working with children
„Q Action and detailed oriented
„Q Personable with a strong sense of integrity
„Q Initiative, creativity, and ownership
„Q Team player
Schedule & Working Conditions:
„Q Normal work schedule is Monday through Friday plus some Saturdays when events and projects dictate
„Q Typical work environment is in a classroom setting
„Q Physical requirements include sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, hearing and communicating clearly
