Location: Georgia (The majority of new arrivals will be placed in the seaside city of Batumi)
Type of School: Public schools across Georgia (Elementary-High School)
Positions Available: 100+ each month
Start Date: July, 2010 and ongoing through to December, 2010
Contract Length: 6 Months or 1 Year
Number of Students/Class: 15 students/class
Teaching Hours: 21-25 hours/week
Office Hours/Prep Time: 5-10/week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Volunteer Stipend in Local Currency: 500 Georgia Lari/month tax-free
Volunteer Stipend in USD: $300 USD/month stipend tax-free
Health Insurance: Local Medical Insurance Provided
Room & Board: Free Homestay and Meals (Homestays are within walking distance to schools and offer internet connection. Homestays have been screened by the Georgian government)
Airfare: Pre-Paid Return Airfare
Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation for one year contracts. 1 week paid vacation for 6 month contracts. Up to 4 weeks unpaid vacation during December and January.
Bonus Information: Teachers who have signed one year contract are given a free flight home from Dec 20th and flown back on Jan 20th by the Georgian government.
