Job Description: Bridge is seeking an Academic Director for the opening of its newest BridgeEnglish Language Center in Doha, Qatar in September 2010. The Academic Director is responsible for managing the English as a Foreign Language Program. Job Duties: Manages the English as a Foreign Language Program including the general, business, academic and test preparation classes Regulates class formation and assignment of curricula to group and private classes Hires all teaching staff members, locally and from the U.S., and provides orientation and administrative training Conducts periodic teacher workshops for professional development Works as a student advisor, monitors student satisfaction and course attendance Oversees all language testing including placement and standardized tests Assists the Director in promoting our programs Liaisons with (including travelling to) colleges, universities and companies to promote BridgeQatar Assists the Marketing Department as necessary with ideas for our newsletter and blog |
