Date: 2010-06-26 20:06:16, Location: Europe
“InterLingua” School of Foreign Languages has been in operation since 2002. It is a modern and well-equipped school located in the City of Belgorod 400 miles to the south of Moscow with a population of about 450,000.The key objective of the school is the promotion of foreign language learning in the community. We see our mission in breaking down the barriers of language and culture that divide us in order to help our clients of all ages and nationalities to become citizens of the world.
The school has 2 premises, both of a medium size: small enough to provide a friendly atmosphere and individual approach, but large enough to have excellent facilities, language learning resources and a staff of highly qualified professional teachers. This year the number of our students has come over 1000!!!
For visiting teachers we offer $1200 a month (take-home money) for 28 periods per week (1 period is 45 minutes) that is more than sufficient for a comfortable life in Belgorod. Mostly they teach in the afternoon or evening, split hours are also available (morning –evening classes), although not on every day basis.
On the top of that there’s free accommodation. We offer an apartment with a bedroom and a living room in a block of flats not far away from our school. There is central heating, cold & hot water, TV (+ cable channels), fridge, washing machine and phone available (teachers have to pay only for long distance calls). The lodgings are situated right in the city centre with easy access to different cafes, restaurants, shopping malls and food stores. There’s a bank and a cinema nearby as well.
Our primary requirements are the following:
• British citizenship (UK holders)
• Teaching work experience with young learners aged 7 to 10, as well as with teenagers aged 12 to 15
• ESL certificates
• Work experience and familiarity with original textbooks published by British editors
• Knowledge of contemporary teaching methods dwelling on children
