English Curriculum Developer in North Vietnam

Technology Transferring & Education Development Consultant Company PTL was founded in 1997 with the permit of Hanoi Authority of Planning and Investment. The company is one of the prestigious agents in recruiting students for study abroad and has been sending thousands of students to study in many countries.
Our company has established a subsidiary company names Shelton English Training Centre which is currently implementing a project of strengthens English in High schools, Colleges and Universities in North Vietnam. We are seeking for an experienced and native English Curriculum Developer. The purpose of the project is to bring a better understanding English to English and get better at listening and speaking for Vietnamese students from primary, secondary, high school to college levels.
*Job requirements:
Needs analysis:Working with the school to determine what are students’ languageabilities (e.g., educational background, prior experiences with English, attitudes toward English and English needs, communicative abilities, and formal knowledge of English). Determination what are school teachers teaching method to find out gaps that they are not able to deliver English to English understanding to students. This is in order to create a good curriculum that can meet the special needs of the schools.
Specification of goals, objectives, and outcomes:Specification of goals (general purposes of a curriculum), objectives (more specific and concrete description of purposes/goals) and learning outcomes (what students will have learned/ be able to do) based on needs analyses and ideologies about language, language learning, and language teaching. The goals and objectives statements should provide guidelines for teachers, materials writers, test writers, and learners. They should provide a focus for instruction and evaluation.
Syllabus Design and course planning:Course syllabi will identify what is to be taught, when it is to be taught, and how it is to be taught (thereby providing additional guidance for teachers, materials, writers, test writers, and learners).
Materials selection and development:Evaluation of commercial materials to determine their appropriacy to previous steps in the curriculum development process. Decide what commercial materials to adopt, what in-house materials should be created, and how primary materials might be adapted and/or supplemented to accomplish goals, objectives, and targeted outcomes.
Amend and update course materialsas and when needed
Course “piloting”:Implementation of courses or test the curriculum with a group of students and teachers.
Train other teacher:Training and coaching other teachers how to use and apply the new curriculum to the most efficiency way.
Curriculum evaluation:Ongoing cycle of evaluation of all aspects of the curriculum in order to understand how the program works, how successfully it works, and whether it, in all its complexity, is responding to students’ needs, teachers’ abilities, etc.
