Teachers Needed in The Ukraine: Zaporozhya and Dnepropetrovsk
Date: 2010-07-14 07:07:39, Location: Europe
American English Center is hiring American and Canadian instructors for positions beginning August 4. AEC has been operating since 1993 and currently employs about 45 North American instructors at 11 schools in 7 cities throughout Ukraine.
AEC's program focuses on helping our clients, most of whom are college students and young professionals, improve their speaking skills. We limit class size to 12 students to maximize each student's talk time. Students are given 6 hours of direct instruction per week with both Ukrainian and North American teachers. Plus, there are conversation clubs available every day at no additional charge to students.
More than 80% of AEC’s students join through referral. We are serious about our program and believe it’s the best in Ukraine. We are so confident that we offer our students a 100% refund if they are not happy with their course or instructor.
Our approach to language learning is both dynamic and structured, giving our clients the opportunity to learn the grammar and vocabulary they need to communicate in English in a fun, supportive atmosphere. The majority of our students are interested in not only learning English, but also getting to know their North American teachers and their culture.
In hiring teachers, American English Center looks for candidates with an energetic teaching style, who know how to get other people talking, and who are willing to learn from more experienced teachers. The median age of our North American teachers is about 27 years old. Because American English Center provides ESL training directed to the school's program, TEFL, CELTA, and other certificates are not necessary.
We are currently hiring teachers to begin training in Kiev August 4; these hires will begin teaching assignments in Zaporozhya and Dnepropetrovsk August 15.
