The English Language Institute at Texas A&M University, established in 1974 and administratively housed in the College of Liberal Arts, is on the main campus in College Station, Texas. Accredited by CEA, UCIEP, and AAIEP, the Institute serves approximately 500 students annually.
Job Description
The English Language Institute (ELI) at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for a non-tenured faculty Lecturer position (with benefits) beginning this fall 2010. Start date is August 30. Responsibilities include teaching up to 12 hours per week in the 15-week (fall and spring) semesters, participating in faculty and committee meetings, working with student assessment projects and program events, meeting with students and colleagues as needed, and possessing the ability to work in and sensitivity to a cross-cultural environment. The ELI at Texas A&M, established in 1974 and administratively housed in the College of Liberal Arts, is on the main campus in College Station, Texas. Accredited by CEA, UCIEP, and AAIEP, the ELI serves approximately 500 students annually.

Requirements
MA TESL, applied linguistics, or a closely related master’s degree, and strong communication skills are required. Experience teaching in a university-based intensive English program and knowledge of a second language are preferred.
