This innovative Grade 1-6 English course combines the latest in educational, ecological, and scientific technologies, to provide students with an unparalleled learning experience that they'll treasure for their whole life. Distinguishing features include; fun and interactive science experiments, hands-on homework assignments, a class pet, and a pen-pal program. Young Sprouts' curriculum has been created from the latest Canadian eco-curricula for elementary students; and like every course offered at Key English, is centred around sustainable living and modern, relevant English language. Young Sprouts’ maintains the goal of providing a “dream classroom” that all children should have the opportunity to enjoy. All classes are pre-planned and programmed on our iBoard® system and all required materials and tools are provided to the teacher by Key English - the Young Sprouts Head Teacher being responsible for the operation and delivery of Young Sprouts classes. Young Sprouts Head Teacher duties include but are not limited to; preparing experiments and class activities, facilitating discussions and providing feedback on homework assignments, maintaining the “dream classroom” environment, and producing performance reports in weekly meetings with upper management. The Young Sprouts Head Teacher is to act as a mentor and inspirational figure to provide these young minds with the right environment and opportunities to realise their full potential. This position offers a very competitive salary and professional working environment. We also include loyalty bonuses for the resigning of a contract after one year, and opportunities for promotions including; Program Director, and Branch Manager. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE: • At least 2 years teaching experience with young children (7-11 years) • A responsible attitude and work ethic • An enthusiastic and colourful personality • Outstanding time management skills • At least a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline • A TESOL/TEFL certificate |
