Senior Teacher Academic - TunisDate: 2010-07-30 20:07:53, Location: AfricaThe British Council Tunis Teaching Centre is recruiting a Senior Teacher Academic to manage the academic development of the centre and teacher support and development. You will be responsible for the development of our curriculum and assessment systems, customer service excellence and leading the teacher learning and development programme. In addition to opportunities for Teacher Training (internal as well as external with the Tunisian Ministry of Education), you will also have managerial responsibilities in operations and marketing, working closely with the Teaching Centre Manager, Business Development Manager and head of Young Learners. This is a good opportunity for an experienced EFL professional to develop as both a manager and as a teacher trainer by supporting teachers via resources, observation, coaching and INSETT. You must have a minimum of a TEFL-Q qualification and 2 years’ full time post-qualification experience. You should also have experience of teacher training/development, line management or coaching/mentoring. You must be highly proficient in the use of English (IELTS 8.5, CPE Grade A) and you should have a first degree or equivalent (NQF L6/L7).
