Short Contract - EthiopiaDate: 2010-07-30 20:07:04, Location: AfricaAs part of a national project to upgrade the qualifications of university teachers throughout Ethiopia, Addis Ababa University is running a second series of pre-sessional English and study skills courses for 3,500 university lecturers. Working with the British Council, the university is recruiting up to 70 English language teachers to come to Addis for one month from 21st September. You will receive a short induction before courses start on 27 September. Essential requirements: Highly proficient use of English, TEFL certificate (CELTA, Trinity Cert. TESOL or equivalent qualification) and at least two years experience of teaching English. Addis Ababa University will provide A fee of GB £2000 net Fully furnished accommodation Return air fares from country of origin Local transport from accommodation to the campus A week extension on accommodation, if required, and the option of a tour of Ethiopia (to be arranged personally) To apply: complete the British Council Professional Profile (see 'application form' below) and send by email with a scan of your TEFL qualification certificate to information@et.britishcouncil.org.
