English Language Center Instructor at the University of South Alabama

Teach up to 20 hours per week in 8-week terms during the 9-month academic year.
Participate in academic service activities
Assist with testing and placement of students.
Attend faculty development and in-service training meetings.
Participate in the ongoing development and assessment activities, as well as revisions of curriculum and course materials.
Attend and supervise English Language Center field trips and activities.
Maintain appropriate office hours.
Masters degree in TESOL Applied Linguistics or related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of two-year full-time teaching experience or equivalent of demonstrated excellence in teaching English as a Second Language.
Excellent interpersonal / communication skills.
Masters degree in TESOL.
Two years full-time teaching experience in a university-based intensive English program.
Demonstration of scholarly involvement in the field of TESOL.
Experience in curriculum development.
Proficiency in a second language.
Experience living and/or teaching overseas.
Experience using technology for instructional purposes.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team.
