Employment Level:Adjunct Website:http://www.ctcd.edu Application Deadline:Open until filled Category: English as a second language Employment Status:Part-time Salary: Not specified OPENING DATE: October 26, 2012 REQ#: 2PF101222001 CLOSING DATE: Continuous Opening FY 2012-2013 POSITION TITLE: ADJUNCT FACULTY ESL Part-Time Position CAMPUS/ DEPARTMENT: Central Campus English-as-a-Second Language SALARY: Part Time Employment Agreement EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Linguistics, Education, English, Reading or Language Arts (will consider Liberal Arts Degree with TESOL certification, 6 hours in Linguistics/Grammar, OR extensive ESL teaching experience with adults) from a US regionally accredited institution of higher education is required. The following is preferred: Masters Degree from a US regionally accredited institution of higher education. Three years full-time wage earning teaching experience with adults. *An unofficial copy of college transcripts is required with the application. The transcript must show the awarded degree and the date conferred. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires the ability to work with adults from varied cultures at the developmental level, excellent writing skills, and internet use and word processing programs such as Microsoft Word in order to develop worksheets and test for classroom use. The successful candidate must have high verbal ability, team player attitude, and able to navigate across campus to classes.
