The program English Volunteers for Change (EVOLC) is driven by the Foundation for Sustainability and Equity (ALIARSE), and Costa Rica Multilinge, which is a national program initiated by former President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Oscar Arias, to make Costa Rica a multilingual country in the coming years. The program aims to contribute to improving the level of English in the rural communities, public schools, and poorest sectors of the country. It is developed under the context of public-private partnerships with chambers of tourism, schools, and local partners who give support to the initiative.
