We are looking for professional full-time teachers to teach the GAC (Global Assessment Certificate) curriculum to the students from grade 10 to 12 at Zibo Experimental High School's International Education Center beginning February 2013. Positions are one-year contracts with the option of renewal at the end.

Position 1: Business Teacher
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
o in Business/Accounting/Management or related field
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application (about half our foreign teachers have master's and we even have two doctors at our school)
* 2 years teaching experience
o Business teaching experience is excellent
o English teaching experience is great
* Ability to teach freshmen-level management and business practices skills
* Willingness to teach at a professional level. This is not casual teaching of oral English, nor is it a "Business English" class. You will be teaching a much more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & grading - many teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
* Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
* Ability to teach additional subjects (e.g. English, social science, science or math) is a strong asset

Position 2: Science Teacher
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
o in a Natural Science or related field
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application (about half our foreign teachers have master's and we even have two doctors at our school)
* 2 years teaching experience
o Science teaching experience is excellent
o English teaching experience is great
* Ability to teach high school-level general science (including biology, chemistry, physics, ecology and the scientific method) and university freshman-level physics, chemistry or biology
* Willingness to teach at a professional level, this is not casual teaching of oral English, you will be teaching a much more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & gradingmany teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
* Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
* Ability to teach additional subjects (listed above and below) is a strong asset

Position 3: Computing Teacher
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
o in ComputerScience/Informatics/Graphic Design/Wed Design/Related field or professional experience with information technology
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application (about half our foreign teachers have master's and we even have two doctors at our school)
* 2 years teaching experience
o Computing teaching experience is excellent
o English teaching experience is great
* Ability to teach Microsoft Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), database basics (Microsoft Access) and graphic (Photoshop) and web design (Frontpage) basics
* Willingness to teach at a professional level, this is not casual teaching of oral English, you will be teaching a more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & gradingmany teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
* Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
* Ability to teach additional subjects (listed above and below) is a strong asset

Position 4: Math Teacher
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
o in Mathematics/ComputerScience/Engineering or related field
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application (about half our foreign teachers have master's and we even have two doctors at our school)
* 2 years teaching experience
o Math teaching experience is excellent
o English teaching experience is great
* Ability to teach algebra, geometry, trigonometry & calculus.Ability to teach statistics also helpful.
* Willingness to teach at a professional level, this is not casual teaching of oral English, you will be teaching a much more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & gradingmany teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
* Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
* Ability to teach additional subjects (listed below) is a strong asset

Position 5: English-as-a-Second-Language Specialist
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
o in Education/Foreign Language/English/Related humanity or professional experience with teaching English as a second language
o Degree from an English-speaking country
o Graduate degrees strengthen an application (about half our foreign teachers have master's and we even have two doctors at our school)
* Native speaker preperred
* 2 years teaching experience
* Ability to teach English-as-a-second-language at the high school level and ability to teach freshmen level college writing (i.e. research papers)
* Willingness to teach at a professional level, this is not casual teaching of oral English, you will be teaching listening, speaking, reading and writing and preparing students to write research papers at university. It is a much more challenging level of curriculum that will require excellent lesson planning, teaching & grading - many teachers really appreciate the opportunity to teach a more serious level of material, but it is more demanding
* Familiarity with the challenges Chinese students will face at university
* Ability to teach additional subjects (listed above) is a strong asset

Brief Introduction of Our School's Curriculum
The GAC program is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate studies at Western universities. Of course, developing proficiency in the English language is essential for success at university and so our grade 10 students develop a foundation in English. However, we are more than just a language school. Beginning in grade 11 we no longer teach English as a language, but instead use it as a tool to study Mathematics, General Computing, Business, Science, Statistics, Social Science & Graphic and Web Design as well as develop the study skills and habits that will be expected in the undergraduate classroom. In grade 12, after completing the core GAC curriculum, we give our students experience with freshman-level university courses as they study AP courses in English Literature, College Writing, Psychology, Statistics & Calculus.

About the school
Zibo Experimental High School is the best high school in the city and one of the best schools in Shandong. The school, like other experimental high schools through China, enjoys a good reputation for its study atmosphere, experienced teachers and quality teaching.

The school covers an area of more than 14.2 hectares with the total building area over 77,000 square meters. There is a stadium with 2000 seats, track field, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts and even an astronomical observatory (12 meters in diameter). The International Centre occupies one of the buildings, and we have our own coffee shop.
