Are you a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic English teacher who is looking for a rewarding change?
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2013 school year. Placements can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2013 school year.
We are seeking suitably qualified English teachers for appointment to vacancies in 2013. The suitable applicants will be required to teach English to students in Years 8 to 12. The implementation of strategies to improve the reading and writing skills of the students is a significant part of this role. The ability to teach up to Stage 3 English will be an advantage.
As an English teacher you would participate as an integral member of the teaching team and be responsible for supporting the collaborative approach to curriculum planning, providing learning programs to students according to the needs of the school community and modelling exemplary classroom practice. You will also need to be able to assist in the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices, integrate information technology into the curriculum and assist with the pastoral care of students and liaise with parents as required.
Wanneroo Secondary College, an Independent Public School, is a co-educational secondary school catering for 910 students from years 8 to 12. Opened in 1977, its located 24km north of the Perth CBD in a rapidly developing area with new suburbs constantly emerging and the fastest population growth rate in the country.
