British Council is recruiting for experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our professional teams in Vietnam and Malaysia.
English Teachers (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
As a member of the teaching centre, you will strive to deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups and individual learning styles to enhance the British Councils reputation as a world authority in ELT.
These positions would be especially suited to those wishing to work in dynamic team environments and who are looking to develop professionally. As we are committed to continuing professional development, there are opportunities for teachers to participate in INSETT sessions and receive funding for professional development courses.
Professional Development Unit (PDU) Trainer (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
As part of the Professional Development Centre team, you will develop and deliver high quality professional skills and English courses to the government of Malaysia and corporate clients including American Express, HSBC, Petronas and AirAsia.
This is an exciting opportunity for a trainer with solid professional skills training experience in the corporate sector, to join a high performance team in a fascinating training context.
These posts are contracted for two years. The start dates for these posts will be:
English Teachers (Ho Chi Minh City): 4 January 2013 (application deadline: 26 November 2012)
English Teachers (Kuala Lumpur): 13 February or 21 March 2013 (application deadline: 26 November 2012)
PDU Trainer (Kuala Lumpur): February 2013 (application deadline: 3 December 2012)
Essential requirements for these posts:
highly proficient user of English
internationally recognised certificate-level qualification (Cambridge CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL)
meet the other requirements as specified in the role profile
The British Council can offer an excellent package for the right candidate, including flights from the UK (or equivalent location) to Malaysia or Vietnam, baggage allowance, settling-in allowance and medical insurance. Salaries and benefits differ depending on the country that you are applying for and the starting point on the scale depends on your qualifications and experience.
