Lecturer in ESL

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh seeks applications for one position of Lecturer (non-tenure stream) to begin on September 1, 2013 through April 30, 2014. The position will have responsibility for teaching 3 ESL classes in the Department of Linguistics each fall and spring semester as well as engaging in administration and supervision of part-time instructors.

Qualification Requirements: PhD in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and Foreign language Education, with TESOL Certificate, with a preference for expertise in teaching English for Academic Purposes. Experience in teaching ESL writing classes in a university setting is preferred. A sub-specialization in language testing, in particular with the iBT and IELTS, is also desirable.
