Work in a Community School in Patagonia, Argentina
Date 2012-12-01 20:12:27 Location : South America
The medium sized town or Junin de los Andes (near Bariloche) needs seasonal volunteers and interns to help with a community school. Catering primarily to the poorer children of the area, the school relies on the community's support as well as international volunteers to provide these kids with opportunities they probably would not otherwise have. Participants are invited to visit during the South American summer (Nov. - April) and assist with teaching, construction, tree planting, childcare, sports, painting, farming and many other activities. Placement includes a bus ticket from Buenos Aires to Junin de los Andes and accommodation in an on-site volunteer house. This is a great opportunity to visit the adventure travel region of Argentina and get to know the magnificence of Patagonia!
