We are recruiting for 80 Trainers to join our professional team on the Teacher Upskilling Project based in Malaysia. This new project is in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Malaysia.
Reporting to a Senior Trainer, you will be responsible for training in two schools (either primary or secondary). You will provide English language proficiency and methodology training for primary or secondary English language teachers. This is a rare professional opportunity for you to experience the cultural and environmental splendour and diversity of Malaysia whilst making a real difference to classroom teaching and learning. Different starting dates are available: 28th December 2012, 21st January 2013 Key requirements: very high proficiency in English undergraduate degree internationally recognised TEFL certificate (Cambridge CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL) at least 3 years full-time relevant experience post TEFL qualification experience of teacher training and working with national teachers willingness to work independently and flexibly in a challenging yet exciting context be between the ages of 22 and 60 (Malaysian law requirement beyond our control) Generous package and support: one year contract with monthly gross salary ranging from MYR 7,849 to MYR 10,196 (starting point on scale depends on your qualification and experience) flights, relocation and settling-in expenses (for those recruited out of country) comprehensive health insurance professional development and support provided through Senior Trainers and a Project Manager For more information, and to apply please see our website at: https://jobs.britishcouncil.org .
