The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at KFUPM offers a high quality teaching and research environment with state-of-the-art lab facilities. The CE undergraduate program is fully accredited by the ABET (U.S.A.). Our graduate program is also very active with currently more than 50 M.S. and Ph.D. enrolled. The Mechanical Engineering Department invites applications for full-time faculty positions in various areas of Mechanical Engineering. Successful candidates are expected to have exceptional potential or demonstrated success in developing research programs that complement existing strengths in ME department, preferably in one of the following: Mechanical design, innovative technologies for water desalination and energy generation/recovery/storage, and multiscale multiphysics modeling and simulation.

- A Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering or related areas.
- Specialization in the areas of Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Description, Well Testing, Well Logging, Completion & Workover and Surface Facilities.
- Industrial experience in his specialty is a plus.

I. Lecturer in Physical Science
We are looking for highly qualified, energetic, adaptable, and experienced people to teach physical science course at the preparatory level. Successful candidates will be mostly committed to teaching physical science and supporting fresh students enrolled in the Prep Year Program. Based on applicant's experience, he may be involved in curriculum development and participate in committees working towards the continuous improvement/enhancement of the Prep Year program. Also, he can pursue his research interests outside the working hours.
M.Sc. in Physics or Education and three years of teaching at college/undergraduate level. Industrial experience is a plus. Teaching experience at western (USA, Canada, UK, Australia) institutions is preferred. Excellent communication skills, oral and written, in English, is a must.
II. Lecturer/Trainer in University Study Skills
We are looking for highly qualified, energetic, adaptable, and experienced people to teach "University Study Skills". Successful candidates will be mostly committed to teaching/training and supporting fresh students enrolled in the Prep Year Program. Based on applicant's experience, he may be involved in curriculum development and participate in committees working towards the continuous improvement/enhancement of the Prep Year program. M.Sc. in Education, Management, Marketing, or an equivalent.
Fluent in both, English and Arabic.
Familiar with Word, Excel, and Power Point applications.
Computer literacy including e-learning technologies.
Two years of experience as a teacher/trainer in University Study Skills.
Strong personal communications and effective means of material presentation.
Holding formal relevant training certificates would be desirable. Teaching experience at a western (USA, Canada, UK, Australia) institution is preferred. Ability to assess and evaluate course outcomes and students performance is a plus. Successful candidates are expected to undertake teaching/training of Prep Year students to acquire study skills, among which: adaptation to university life; goal settings and priorities; self motivation; time and stress management; critical thinking; classroom skills; preparing for exams.
