Due to continued growth, our partner client is currently seeking a Casual English Teacher to join their training organisation in Sydneys North Western suburbs. With over 3000 enrolled students per year, they offer a variety of courses and are one of Australia's Leading English Language Preparation providers. Commencing in early January 2013, this role will involve teaching and associated duties within the English Language Centre. Reporting to the Head, Academic Programs, you will also contribute to the innovation in teaching and learning programs and will be required to work productively within a team environment. This is a casual role, offering employment between 2 and 5 days per week. The successful applicant will have an undergraduate degree, postgraduate TESOL qualification and will have previous experience teaching in reference to contemporary culture. A thorough knowledge of English grammar, a demonstrated ability to teach academic writing and the ability to work as part of a team are also vital for this role. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Plan, teach, assess, report and evaluate for effective learning Contribute to the innovation in teaching & learning programs Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of English grammar Understand how to facilitate student learning and cater to different learning styles Communicate effectively with both students & staff Work productively in a team environment. Key Selection Criteria: An undergraduate degree Postgraduate TESOL qualification Strong knowledge of English grammar Ability to teach academic writing Ability to work effectively as part of a team Intercultural awareness and sensitivity Understanding of eLearning and blended learning Experience teaching with reference to contemporary culture An understanding of IELTS or other English language testing system preferred
