Appointment will begin in the fall of 2013, subject to budget approval. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in elementary education in a Professional Development School setting, teaching graduate courses in the MSED Literacy Program in traditional on-campus settings and potentially in hybrid and online formats, academic advisement of students, research and service, including serving on school and university committees. K-12 teaching experience and extensive experience with instructional technologies are required. Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in Elementary Education, Reading, Literacy, Curriculum and Instruction, or other appropriate area. Candidates with ABD status will be considered. Desired characteristics include ability to teach courses in ESL; an emphasis in reading/ELA; experience with field-based programs; online teaching experience; and previous higher education experience. Appreciation of and respect for the Universitys Catholic, Franciscan mission is expected. Application: Reviews will begin immediately and continue until a candidate is recommended for appointment.
