The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University is hiring new faculty to support a fast growing and innovative academic preparation program for international students. Integrating specialized content-area studies with English language development, the program inducts students into Northeastern Universitys academic culture and provides them with the skills they need to thrive in their chosen graduate and undergraduate degree programs.
The College seeks a candidate for a non-tenure track, renewable full-time position to teach English to international students.
Teaching; developing course content, materials and objectives; curriculum review and development; and supervising adjunct faculty.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field (Applied Linguistics, English as a Second Language, Second Language Studies/Acquisition, or a related area with an emphasis in second language reading) by start date, a minimum of seven years experience teaching international students in a higher education environment, and proven leadership or administrative ability.
