The Job
We are now holding interviews for English teachers at our middle school and university based in the city of Tianjin in the east coast of China. If you are a dynamic teacher, have an interest in teaching smart, motivated teenagers and young adults and can deliver learner centered, communicative lessons then we are interested in speaking with you.

Teachers will teach for 2 days a week at the middle school and 3 days a week at the university. Our schools are modern with up to date teaching materials and equipment including projectors and computers. Various student interactions are encouraged in class such as group work, pair work, role plays, project work as well as more traditional teaching methods to add variety to the classes and help create a fun and relaxed learning environment.

All new teachers will receive training on arrival and will be introduced to the school and teaching methods.

Teaching Materials
Teaching materials and resources are provided by the school and are targeted to the abilities of the students. Materials follow the Chinese national school curriculum and focus on developing all four skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing. Teachers are encouraged to adapt and supplement the materials where need be to ensure classes are engaging and interesting.

Tianjin – The city
Tianjin is located 85 miles east of Beijing, near the coast. The capital can be reached in half an hour by fast train. As China’s third largest city with a population of over 10 million people, Tianjin has a rich history and has witnessed many important events since it was given its name in 1404. Evidence of its history is still visible in the old British and Italian concessions, the port and European architectures.

The best known scenic spots and historical sites include the Panshan Scenery Area, the Park on the Water, the Garden of Tranquility, the Palace of Heavenly Empress and even a section of the Great Wall of China at the Huangya Pass.
