The Master of Arts in Education at Truman State University is a highly selective program with a proven record of quality teacher preparation, and one committed to the review and redesign of effective educator training models. Truman State University is seeking an Elementary Education faculty member for one tenure-eligible full-time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate level education courses. The position will also involve working closely with K-12 public schools and conducting on-site field observation and evaluation of pre-service teachers.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a terminal degree in Education or related field (ABD will be considered) with K-12 experience and demonstrate evidence of
teaching effectiveness,
effective communication,
dispositions for working with school partners.

Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess or show potential for one or more of the following:
professional teaching certificate,
K-6 teaching experience,
experience in conducting evaluation of teachers,
knowledge of assessment and data driven decision making,
potential for leadership,
understanding of technology, and
background or experience in educational research, special education, or ESL.

Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and qualifications.
