Tsinghua Experimental School in Shenzhen was established in 2002. Tsinghua is a beautiful campus located at the heart of the community of Tao Yuan Ju, which is in the BaoAn District of Shenzhen, a major city on the south east coast of China, near Hong Kong.
It is the only Elementary Education School established by Tsinghua University outside of the capital city of Beijing in China. Tsinghua accepts both residential and non-residential students providing education from primary to senior high school graduation. Now with a population of 7000 students and 700 teachers, Tsinghua is one of the largest privately-run schools in all of Shenzhen.
Our school is modern with up to date teaching materials and equipment including projectors and computers. Various student interactions are encouraged in class such as group work, pair work, role plays, project work as well as more traditional teaching methods to add variety to the classes and help create a fun and relaxed learning environment.
Teaching materials and resources are provided by the school and are targeted to the abilities of the students. Materials follow the Chinese national school curriculum and focus on developing all four skills speaking, listening, reading and writing. Teachers are encouraged to adapt and supplement the materials where need be to ensure classes are engaging and interesting.
Shenzhen The city
Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong (located just south of Shenzhen), Shenzhen''s location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in Shenzhen. From then on, Shenzhen become a highlighted city of China, one known for its rapid economic growth.
Because Shenzhen is a migrant city, all of China''s regional cuisines are represented here.
