Language Instructor, Senior Language Instructor, Assistant Language Lecturer

The Language Center (LC) at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman provides English instruction for Omani students of all nine colleges at the university: Science, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Nursing, Law and Arts. Our goal is to prepare students for English-medium courses in their subject areas, and to prepare them to use English in their professions after graduation. We use a well-rounded curriculum of the four skill areas, the latest textbooks and teacher-prepared materials to direct students towards the acquisition of English. The Language Center is a partnership of students, instructors, coordinators and administrators, dedicated to the development of student confidence and competence in English. The Language Centre offers two major English Language programmes to students registered for pursuing university studies at SQU. They are the Foundation Programme English Language (FPEL) and the Credit English Language Programme (CELP). Students normally progress from the FPEL to the CELP. After they successfully pass the FPEL, students pursue their degrees in one of the university colleges where instruction is English medium.
NOTES: 20 openings. Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Salary and grade will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Apart from an attractive tax-free basic salary, the University provides free furnished accommodation, an initial 34-month renewable contract with end-of-service gratuity, annual leave with return air tickets, an educational allowance for up to 2 children and free medical services in government hospitals in the Sultanate.

Requirements
An MA in TEFL/TESL or related field, or a BA plus an internationally recognized postgraduate diploma in EFL/EFL, in addition to two years of teaching experience at the tertiary level.
