Sessional TAFE Teacher

Salary range: $42.06 - $64.31 per hour (dependent on skills/exp & quals)
Fixed term until 31st December 2013, at Prahran, Croydon, Wantirna & Hawthorn

Multiple sessional TAFE Teacher opportunities have arisen within the Centre for Health, Sciences and Community. These positions will require you to contribute to the delivery of the following programs and modules/subjects:
Certificates in Spoken and Written English
Certificates in English as a Second Language
The responsibilities of the TAFE teacher extends to the provision of administrative support functions necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the teaching department from course enquiry/advice through to assessing and determining the training requirements of clients.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position it is essential you demonstrate:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
A recognised Bachelor Degree and a recognised postgraduate TESOL qualification which includes a practicum*OR a Bachelor of Education with a TESOL major or equivalent which includes a practicum (*The practicum must be at least 60 hours long and include, for example, supervised teaching, observation, field visits, resources evaluation, team teaching, volunteer tutoring etc. If a course undertaken has less than 60 hours practicum, teachers must demonstrate teaching experience equivalent to 60 hours. Appropriate documentation of such a practicum should be available)
