TEACHER (MIDDLE SCHOOL - ENGLISH)
This is a full-time ongoing position commencing 20 May 2013.
We require a dedicated educator from May 20. The position is to teach English for middle school students. The Fulltime load will also be made up with Food Technology classes.
Carnarvon is situated at the beginning of Western Australia''s world renowned coral coast 900km north of Perth. It boasts a warm sunny climate all year round with the average temperature being 29 degrees. Outdoor pursuits are endless in this area.
Subsidised accommodation will be made available to the successful applicant. Remote schools conditions apply.
Possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Have excellent english teaching skills and a desire to assist students achieve their full potential
Strong knowledge of English in the National Curriculum
Be flexible, enthusiastic and able to work collaboratively
Display a high degree of professionalism
Be prepared to be fully involved in all School activities
Have sound student management strategies
be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
Have or be willing to work towards Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School.
A relevant four year tertiary qualification.
Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from www.trb.wa.gov.au
Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, addressed to the Principal, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer and a Parish Priest. A current Federal Police Clearance/100 Point Identification Check must also be included. The appropriate Criminal History Record Check form is available from the Department of Education and Training website (www.det.wa.edu.au). In the case of teachers, a current registration number with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA), as ongoing registration requires a current Police Clearance.
On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State.
