Development Editor, ELT (Primary)

Our client, a prestigious educational publisher, is looking for a Development Editor to work on their Primary ELT list. This is a permanent role based in London.

Key duties:

Liaise closely with the Primary Publisher and Commissioning Editor to develop Primary ELT material
Support the Commissioning Editor in content editing of final manuscripts
Provide support to the editorial team at all stages of the editorial and production processes
Prepare briefs for authors and provide feedback on manuscripts
Manage and brief suitable readers and advisors
Brief, manage and monitor freelancers
Experience / skills required:

A recognised TEFL qualification and experience of EFL teaching is essential
Demonstrable editorial experience of print and digital Primary ELT publishing
Excellent understanding of ELT markets and products
Understanding of publishing processes and technologies
Proactive team-worker able to work to tight deadlines
