We are urgently recruiting a part-time instructor to teach a TOEFL Speaking course in one of the top public high schools in Beijing, China, beginning September 11, 2013. Please refer to the job description below and contact me via email should you be interested
Position Available: Part-time TOEFL English Speaking Teacher
School: High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University International Department
Location: Beijing, China
Compensation: 200RMB/period, pre-tax (effectively ~190RMB/period, post-tax)
Goal: to equip students with the necessary speaking skills for their TOEFL examinations
Students: High School students who will apply to college abroad (25 students per class, 4 classes of students)
Teaching workload: 40 minutes per period, 8 periods per week (2 periods per class); prepare syllabus; prepare and grade homework assignments; write and grade exams
Working hours: Wednesday 10:45 - 14:20, Thursday 11:35-12:15, Friday 8:00-12:15
-Native English speaker
-Currently in Beijing with valid visa
-Solid academic background and teaching experience in relevant subject
-Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills
-Ability to teach well-planned, interesting, informative and interactive classes
-Enthusiasm for teaching and ability to adapt to a new environment
-Experience teaching advanced classes
-Experience with TOEFL, ESL and cross-cultural instruction
