Teaching Positions in Northern and Central Taiwan

Date 2013-11-12 10:11:53 Location : Asia:Taiwan

What we are looking for

Positions available at present and through to the beginning of the new year. We are looking for teachers with energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to dive into the culture of their new home. Applicants need a university degree and a passport from Great Britain, Canada, the United States of America, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Offer

We're offering a salary of 55,000 to 60,000 TWD, about 1200 GBP a month, depending on location. When you arrive, we will make sure you have everything you need, like phone, home and home essentials, and whatever else you are looking for. We'll also provide orientation to living in Taiwan, and, later, when you've settled in, Chinese lessons, martial arts lessons, or calligraphy lessons. Perhaps tai chi lessons in local parks. Or perhaps tea-making with a local master. We'll also help you to travel around the country. Basically, we want to help our teachers get as much out of their time here as possible. Taiwan is a country rich in arts and traditions, and we will help you to see more of it!

About Taiwan

Taiwan is a sub-tropical island nation with flat plains to the west and lush, forested mountains in the centre. The majority of the population is ethnically Han Chinese, but there are also Hakka people, and several aboriginal groups to be found here.

Traditional herbal medicine, acupuncture, qigong healing, and all forms of traditional Chinese medicine are practiced here, exactly as they have been for millennia. Temples abound, Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian.
