Our client is a leading English learning centre for school children. There is a vacancy in their Chatswood branch for a competent English tutor/teacher to join them on a permanent part-time basis and be part of this well-respected brand.



This learning centre is one of its kind in the oustanding service it offers children and their parents, as well as in the proven track record of excelling grades students experience upon joining the school's unique program.



If you have strong command of the English language as well as prior experience in English teaching or tutoring then you could be hired. There is a maximum of 4 students per lesson and each lesson goes for 3 hours with a break at half time.




The responsibilities of the role include:


Running English classes (focusing on writing skills) for school children of all ages (age preferences can be nominated)
Marking writing assignments after each lesson
Allocating homework for students based on materials provided by the learning centre
Occasionally communicating with parents about their child's progress and providing further guidance




The ideal candidate will be/have:


English teaching/tutoring experience preferably with school aged children
Ability to commit to the role on a long term basis
Flexibility to take additional classes if necessary
Excellent interpersonal skills
English as a native language
Highly organised with keen attention to detail


The learning centre is open on 7 days a week, with weekday lessons being held in the afternoons after children finish school, and weekend lessons held in the mornings and afternoons.
