Louisiana Teaching Fellows is calling on outstanding individuals to become teachers in Shreveport’s highest need schools as part of Louisiana’s Recovery School District and the public schools of Caddo Parish. The program focuses on recruiting leaders who will have a lasting impact on student achievement. Toward this end, we are seeking outstanding and diverse candidates with a relentless drive to make a difference, a dedication to setting only the highest expectations for themselves and their students, and the ability to overcome challenges. After intensive preparation over the summer, Louisiana Teaching Fellows will begin teaching full-time in the fall of 2010 while pursuing their teacher certification. We welcome professionals from all fields, as well as recent college graduates. No previous education coursework or experience is necessary. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
