Native English Speaking Teacher Needed in Shunan City, Yamaguchi-kenDate: 2010-01-26 01:01:05, Location: Japan, AsiaShunan English School (SES) in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan is currently looking for a native English speaker to start a full-time teaching position on March 8, 2010 with a five-day training period starting March 1, 2010, for a monthly salary of 253,000 yen. A Bachelor's degree from a four-year university is required. A TESOL or similar teaching degree is preferred. Experience teaching English as a second language is also preferred. Teachers should enjoy working with children, though we have students of all ages. A company car is provided and, for a small insurance fee, is available for private use. If the teacher chooses to rent an apartment through SES, key money and deposit will be paid for. In addition, SES management will assist with setting up and maintaining monthly bills and other services requiring Japanese language ability. Teachers typically sign a contract for one year with a Y50,000 bonus upon completion. It is also possible to renew the contract after one year. SES, a privately owned company with a staff of native English speakers and English-speaking Japansese teachers, has been providing instruction in English and other foreign languages to Japanese students since 1972. Currently, SES maintains offices in four cities in Yamaguchi Prefecture, with the main office located in Shunan. In addition to classes taught at these offices, SES offers courses in high schools, colleges, corporate offices, community centers and private homes throughout the area. SES also provides translation services. Shunan is a commercial city of approximately 150,000 people located on the southern coast of Yamaguchi Prefecture, along the "Inland Sea." Yamaguchi Prefecture is located in western Japan and contains many historical sites and beautiful natural locations including islands, beaches, mountains, parks, and caverns. Shunan enjoys a mild climate year round. The nearby cities of Hiroshima (30 min.) and Fukuoka (65 min.) may be reached by high-speed train.
