Teaching in the local primary and secondary schools allows teachers to gain international teaching experience while truly diving into the local culture. Teachers can expect to earn a lucrative salary while enjoying a less demanding work schedule than what they may be used to back home. Only certified TESOL teachers with a minimum of three years of experience, including at least 1 year of ESL teaching experience, will be considered for these positions. **Teach Away is now hiring ESL Teachers that hold a degree from one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. CONTRACT DETAILS - Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Duration: 6 month contract; possibility of renewal Location: Brunei, South East Asia (See description below) Student Level: Primary, Secondary Working Hours: Up to 20 hours/week; Fridays and Sundays off Salary: B$27,000 for initial 6-month contract Visa: Provided by the school Number of Vacancies: 3 Housing: Furnished accommodations provided Flight: Return airfare (+ spouse) Vacation: Generous holiday allowance Medical Insurance: Provided by employer Additional Benefits: Full orientation upon arrival; car provided; B$4,500 bonus upon completion of contract REQUIREMENTS: • University undergraduate degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa (preferably in English/Linguistics/Humanities) • Cambridge DELTA / Trinity Diploma TESOL • Minimum 3 years classroom including 1 year of teaching ESL in mainstream curriculum schools in UK or overseas • Driver’s License • 52 years of age or under (Brunei government regulation) • Native English Speaker |
