Edukeys USA is currently looking for well qualified high school teachers to teach in the Project of Global Access (PGA) program in mainland China. The PGA program is designed in collaboration with ACT Education Solutions, Limited (AES). It integrates an advanced international curriculum, teaching method and management style into the standard Chinese senior middle school curricula. The program is designed to enhance the overall competitiveness of the students on a global scale and to promote international education collaboration. The PGA program is well received in China and is growing steadily each year.
China Edukeys International Services (CEIS) has been working with 18 of China’s best senior middle schools. In the past four years, hundreds of student have graduated and advanced to U.S. undergraduate institutions. The current number of enrolled students in the PGA program is over one thousand. Essential Responsibilities:

Conduct up to 80 course loads every month, each course load consists of 45-50 minutes of class teaching time (equivalent to 15 hours per week teaching schedule).
Offer 4-10 hours of Office Hours per week, assist students with questions related to lectures or assignments.
Be in Charge of the delivery, assessment, evaluation and administration of the teaching modules assigned.
Use designed PGA course materials, ensure required course objectives are accomplished as scheduled. Promptly advise school officials with actual or potential changes to the teaching plan.
Provide high quality instructions by appropriately using electronic and audiovisual equipment in the classroom. Instructors are not allowed to change the teaching contents without permission.
Participate in activities promote PGA program and student enrollment, including but not limited to open class, teaching class recording, teaching demo and parent meeting.
Carry out projects in an effective, professional manner.
Accurately monitor and update all student records
Effectively disseminate administrative information in an accurate and timely manner.
Other responsibilities may be assigned based on the course needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

A genuine interest in teaching, education and self-development, and desire to improve learning outcomes and student experiences.
Bachelor’s degree with preferred majors in ESL, English, Linguistics, Math & Sciences, Education, Business, and Computer Science.
Minimum two years of working experience. Experience related to the field of education is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

Desired candidate may obtain a degree or a certificate in one of the following disciplines: Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages (TESOL)/Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)/Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL); English as a Second Language (ESL)/English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
Experiences with teaching or tutoring students in preparation for ACT or SAT test.
Professional knowledge of the English language, able to teach grammar, writing techniques in high school level.

Employment Compensation Package:

Competitive salary based on the national standard for foreign instructors. Compensation is determined by each individual’s education, experiences and other qualifications. Instructors will also receive an extra stipend if overload credits are assigned.
The following accommodations are provided free of charge:

Fully furnished one bedroom apartment (equipped with TV, telephone, washer, refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner, heater and shower unit)
Monthly utility allowance: water, power, gas up to 200 RMB reimbursement
Meal allowance: 12 RMB per working day

International airfare: reimburse one round-trip airfare up to amount of 8,000 RMB (approximately $1,250 USD currently) with completion of the 10-month contract.
Travel allowance: up to 2200 RMB (approximately $339) travel allowance will be provided upon completion of the 10-month contract.
Insurance: comprehensive medical and workers’ injury insurance coverage in compliance with all relevant rules and regulations while working in China.
Paid vacation: a paid winter vacation around 3 to 4 weeks (from mid-January to early February) with base income of 5,000 RMB.
Sponsor for a Z visa: based on the country's foreign employment regulations, teachers are required to obtain a working Z-visa prior to their arrival (Edukeys USA will facilitate visa applications).

Contract Commitment:
Selected instructors are required to complete the 10-month contract. The length of the contract this year is from August 31, 2012 to June 30, 2013. Contract renewal and compensation adjustment will be discussed prior to the expiration of the initial contract.
