We are seeking an Associate Dean of English Language Studies.

The Associate Dean of English Language Studies is an academic leadership and management position that reports directly to the Dean of Academic Foundations. This position is responsible for overall departmental operations in accordance with federal/state regulations, college policies, procedures, contractual agreements, and college strategic planning goals and objectives for Adult Education English for Speakers of Other Languages, college credit (ESL) English for Academic Purposes, and the English Language Institute.

The person in this position will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all operational matters related to student learning, instruction, program and curriculum development, hiring, supervising and evaluating faculty and staff, SACS and program accreditation compliance, developing and managing budgets, developing proposals for grants, and serving as a liaison with internal and external constituents.

Candidates are required to have a Masters degree in a related field and experience in teaching adults English for Speakers of Other Languages, English as a Second Language, English as a Foreign Language, or English for Academic Purposes (Required). A Masters degree in TESOL, English, or Linguistics, demonstrated leadership experience in Adult Education, demonstrated commitment to diversity, and demonstrated teaching experience in a multicultural environment are desired.
