Operations Manager (Skills Development)

Date 2013-02-04 02:02:01 Location : Europe

e-skills UK is the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology. We are an employer-led, not for profit organisation responsible for ensuring that the UK has the IT skills to complete internationally. Technology holds the key to innovation, competitiveness and sustainable economic growth: our mission is to ensure that Britain has the IT skills it needs to make these things happen.

We do this by working on behalf of employers to develop the expertise in software, internet, computer gaming, IT services and business change essential to thrive in today’s global digital economy.

We have agreed 5-year strategies for each of the devolved nations to provide these new skills and we are now recruiting two new roles: Operations Manager (Skills Development) and Operations Manager (Education). Both roles will be responsible for the delivery and output of the division’s programmes and operational activity and they will collaborate closely to ensure an integrated offer that makes the most of our creative and highly motivated project teams.

As Operations Manager (Skills Development) the focus is on workforce development, for example, expanding apprenticeships, and helping companies secure the e-training they need to grow. To achieve this, you will lead a delivery team to drive the expansion of our work with employers by establishing sustainable business models and commercial partnerships and by managing large and complex contracts.

This is a tremendously exciting time to join the e-skills UK Team. To find out more about our organisation, please visit:
