The Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) is a pan-University research and education centre that will focus Sydney's unique mix of disciplinary depth and strengths to advance our knowledge and understanding of lifestyle diseases (principally focused on obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases - ODCD), their causes, societal impacts, and the means by which they can be prevented, where possible, and managed as needed.
The CPC invites applications for Director of Education Program Development.
The position will see you support the Academic Director and the CPC Leadership Team through the provision of effective, efficient and creative leadership in developing and implementing high quality curricula and programs for CPC education activities and initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
strategic development, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of all CPC related education programs
providing leadership in the creation, design and development of programs that support the CPC agendas in the area of multidisciplinary teaching, research-enhanced and community-engaged teaching, and research training
providing leadership in the development of new courses and the evolution of existing courses
representing and promoting the CPC both within and outside the University.
To be successful you will:
demonstrate a high level of academic and professional standing with extensive research and research leadership experience
have experience in being responsible for leading and delivering major programs in complex environments with multiple organisations and personalities
demonstrate capacity to work effectively with external stakeholders, including extensive and high level links with industry and government, and a demonstrated understanding of how industry and government operate
demonstrate a high level of academic and professional standing with extensive research and research leadership
experience, including significant collaborative and integrated cross-discipline research.
The successful applicant will be offered a fixed term appointment for 3 years at 0.5 (FTE).
A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
