We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Recruitment (Asia) who will hold the responsibility for the University's student recruitment strategy in Asia; including the development, implementation and review of the regionally-based recruitment plan to achieve student profile targets.
Working in close collaboration with the Deputy Director of International Recruitment and other Heads of Recruitment, the ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of student recruitment into high profile programmes, a sound understanding of the target audience, and record of developing and maintaining relationships.

The Head of Recruitment (Asia) sits in the International team within the Student Recruitment team. The Head of Recruitment (Asia) will be the senior specialist for the development of the designated region and will hold responsibility for advising key stakeholders within the University on each region and countries. The post holder is primarily responsible for achieving student recruitment profile targets for the region.
In this position you will:
identify and champion new markets and products by developing strategies to maximize the University's potential to recruit;
ensure effective management of the University's representation at recruitment events;
identify trends and opportunities for optimising the recruitment outcomes for designated programmes;
provide leadership and guidance to the team in regards to recruitment strategies, ensuring that staff have a clear understanding of the objectives and a means to provide regular updates on recruitment activities to relevant stakeholders both internal and external.
The Student Recruitment and Admissions Group is responsible for supporting the University's objectives in relation to recruiting and admitting outstanding domestic and international students across all programmes and courses. It comprises four teams: Student Recruitment, Admissions, Contact and Customer Service, and International Services .
Leading the development, coordination and implementation of the University's student recruitment plan, Student Recruitment ensures the brightest international and domestic students are attracted to study at the University of Sydney.
It comprises of the following teams:
Product (faculty relationship management) & Future Student Contact Centre
Postgraduate (Australia & NZ)
Undergraduate (Australia & NZ)
To be successful in this role you will have:
extensive experience in the creation and implementation of customer focussed Integrated student recruitment strategies and operational plans
the ability to establish and manage relationships at senior levels
proven professional leadership and management experience in a large complex organisation
a demonstrated capacity to create, develop and implement new policies and procedures to improve future student's ability to access the university.
The position is available on a full-time continuing basis.
Remuneration package: a competitive remuneration package is available (consisting of a base salary, leave loading and up to 17% employer's contribution to superannuation).
