Full-time, tenure track position in ESL education

The normal teaching load is six courses per year. Regular teaching responsibilities include teaching multiple sections of core courses (educational psychology, foundations, curriculum and instruction) and courses in specialty areas. Additional responsibilities include supervising field experiences and student teaching, advising students in academic and pre-professional development, and providing support and leadership for teachers and students in regional K-12 public school settings. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in service to the department and College. Faculty members are expected to be productive scholars; the College and department offer significant opportunities and support for faculty to engage in scholarly activity, including research with undergraduates and interdisciplinary teaching.
Requirements include a completed doctorate (advanced ABD will be considered); advanced preparation in an ESL field; and experience as a licensed ESL teacher in a U.S. elementary, middle, or high school. Review of applications will begin on September 15, 2015.
