St Luke’s Grammar School is seeking to appoint an experienced and energetic Teacher of English as a Second Language who is suitably qualified to teach ESL to Years 10 to 12. The successful applicant will ideally be a Christian and actively involved in his or her church and willing to contribute to the co-curricular life of the School.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities:
Have a good working knowledge of the Stage 5-6 English ESL Syllabus
Have a good knowledge of and experience in teaching in the ESL subject
Co-Ordinate the academic care of the Overseas students
Have the ability to develop, implement and evaluate effective, engaging,
teaching programs which incorporate a range of ICT strategies
Have the ability to differentiate classroom activities in order to meet the
learning needs of students
Have the ability to design and implement a range of assessment strategies
Have effective classroom management skills and the ability to create and
promote a positive learning environment in the classroom
Have a willingness to actively gain an understanding of the Learning@St
Luke’s Framework and implement it into teaching programs and lesson plans.
Have the willingness and ability to work collaboratively
Participate in the Pastoral program of the School
Participate in the Co-curricular program of the School
Attend Parent Information Evenings as required
Any other duties requested by the Principal
