Director, Intensive English Language Institute: Divine Word College, a Roman Catholic Seminary College located in Epworth, IA, invites applications for the Director of its Intensive English Language Institute. We seek a collaborative and visionary leader with a proven record of quality teaching and demonstrated administrative accomplishments. The Director must be committed to continuously improving the Institute’s instructional program, knowledgeable about professional accreditation standards, and dedicated to ensuring that the Institute’s goals and learning outcomes are consistent with its mission and stated policies.

A Master’s degree in TESOL is required. The Director will be professionally active and model best practices in teaching that include effective use of teaching technology. The Director will receive fifty percent of reassigned time for performing administrative responsibilities that include: determining faculty teaching schedules; cultivating a quality faculty through mentoring and effective annual evaluation; assuring continuous improvement of the program through curricular changes, leading program review and assessment of student learning; providing leadership in developing new courses; encouraging and facilitating faculty professional engagement; recruiting and supervising faculty; organizing student advisement; planning and managing the departmental budget; working collaboratively with the other academic leaders and the administration; understanding and promoting the mission and core values of the College; and supporting the College’s Strategic Plan.
