Expressions of Interest: English Teachers
Date 2017-04-19 19:04:12 Location : Europe
We need talented teachers to help drive our mission of ensuring that all children, regardless of their background or postcode, have access to a great education.
We aim to inform and inspire, to spark curiosity and to help our students unlock their potential and develop the tools they need to explore beyond what they consider to be possible.
We’re looking for individuals with:
The ability to inspire students and bring English to life
Evidence of excellent classroom practice
High expectations of students’ attainment and behaviour
Strong organisational and communication skills
The ambition to develop and excel within the teaching profession
We would welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers who wish to take advantage of a new challenge.
E-ACT is about improving schools. We do this through a relentless focus on building strong teaching and learning, inspiring curriculums, effective standard operating procedures and embedding a culture based on our values of thinking big, doing the right thing and showing team spirit.
The E-ACT team includes over 2,000 employees based across 24 Academies, six regional teams and one national team. We are responsible for over 14,000 pupils across our primary and secondary academies, which are located across six regions:
North (Manchester & Sheffield)
Midlands (Birmingham & Walsall)
South West (Bristol)
Whether you’re a 3 year old in nursery learning to explore the world around you, an 18 year old preparing to go to university, a new teacher understanding the demands of the job, a Head Teacher leading the learning in your academy, a member of the regional team ensuring efficient and effective operations or a trustee scrutinising and challenging the CEO, we want every single person within E-ACT to be driven by three core values:
We want everyone to think big for yourselves and for the world around you;
We want everyone to do the right thing in everything you do, even when this means doing something that’s hard, not popular or takes a lot of time;
We want everyone to show strong team spirit, always supporting and driving your team forward
We really believe that if we all do the right thing, support our teams and we all think big, believe big, act big, then the results will be big too!
This means that if you want to be part of E-ACT, you need to be able to embrace and embody these values in all that you do.
Exciting Professional Development Opportunities
Whatever your role within E-ACT, we want everyone to keep on learning. We give every single one of our teachers three additional dedicated CPD days to follow an individualised development plan designed to build on your practice. This might be through activities such as peer observations, visiting neighbouring schools or developing your lesson planning skills.
On top of this, every teacher has the opportunity to participate in E-ACT’s professional learning programme, which includes a range of courses delivered in partnership with leading training organisations such as Teaching Leaders, Future Leaders and Creative Education. Take a look at our CPD training programme brochure here.
E-ACT is a leader in the education sector for our range of outstanding employee benefits. We adhere to the Burgundy Book as a minimum for teaching staff, but go above and beyond this for all staff including a generous maternity and paternity policy and opportunities for flexible working to enable you to balance family life.
E-ACT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults, and all appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks and satisfactory references. E-ACT is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
