'Teaching Business English' is a 60-hour online course designed for in-service English language teachers who wish to develop their career by moving into Business English teaching. Participants should ideally have a minimum of 12 months’ adult teaching experience.

The course is based in our Moodle VLE. Interaction takes place in online forums, which means that participants can log in and work through the units at any time. The course is comprised of 12 units, with each taking around 5 hours to complete. You have up to 6 months to complete the course, although we recommend completing one unit per week.

By the end of this course, you will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of teaching Business English, from making initial contact with a client and performing a needs analysis, to designing a course based on individual requirements, to selecting or creating content, to assessing your learners’ progress, and more.

During the course, you will be allotted 3 genuine Business English students. You are free to retain these students beyond the course, entailing that the course pays for itself, and generates income.
