My experience with i2 International Institute of Foreign Language
I thought it would be good to share my experience coming to Chengdu, China.
i2, the company were I am currently employed really supported and helped to make my experience one to remember.
This is the first time I have ever travelled outside of my country and China, being my chosen destination, was a little daunting. I knew I was in for a big culture shock, nontheless its been a great experience so far. Yvonne from HR, who I had been communicating with since my first enquiry into this adventure, personally met my partner and I at the airport. She escorted us to a really nice temporary accommadation in the heart of Chengdu, i2 covered this expense. They gave us a few days to sleep off the jet-lag as well as experience a bit of the city before introducing us to our relative campuses, this was a great way to be introduced into this great City. i2 provided a company vehicle to transport us around when we needed to be somewhere.
We stayed with a friend for the first month. When we started hunting for our own apartment closer to our school campus, i2 introduced us to a rental agent that could speak some basic English. When needed, a staff member joined us to help with translation and explanations.
This was just our introduction into Chengdu, we have been here 5 months so far and our experience with i2 just keeps getting better.
I hope this information sheds some light.
