INTERESTED IN TEACHING ENGLISH IN BRAZIL?

Hi, we are Sarah and Carlos, two Canadians who have an English school in Minas Gerais in the southeast of Brazil.   We are looking for visiting foreign native English speakers ( American ,Canadian, British or Australian – non-native-speaking  applications not accepted) who would like to teach English with us for 5 months or longer in a quiet town (next semester is August to December).

We are looking for a sociable, adaptive, non-smoking people person – with some teaching experience and a university degree, communication skills and travel experience are a must.  Female preferred.

We offer free shared accommodation (with one roommate), plus salary.

The weekly teaching hours will be 26.

    Salary will be R$2500 a month.  (Exchange rate today U$1 = R$3.10)

We offer a R$2500 bonus at the end of the contract to help cover airfare.

We also pay R$150 ( one hundred and fifty reais) a month to help cover lunch on working days. In the afternoon teachers have a snack with us.

Our students ages go from 7 to 70 and classes are divided by age groups with a max of 6 kids and 5 adults.

It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and learn another culture and language.

Eligible applicants can speak to other teachers who are teaching here or have taught here about their experiences with our school.
