I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself and offer my services to your company. I am a native English speaking language instructor with nearly 20 years of experience teaching here in Osaka, Japan. I received the CELTA in 2005 and have used it and my experience teaching in a variety of settings – from private one-on-one lessons to group lessons with the ground staff at Kobe and Itami airports – with a variety of students, from junior high school to college to the elderly to businessmen in fields ranging from gardening to electronics to trade. I feel my four years of experience as a self-employed, freelance instructor as well as my foreign language studies, which include passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test at level 2, and my constant learning, reading, and development as an SLA instructor have helped me become a better teacher who more acutely understands the needs of his students.

What I feel is most important about me is that I love learning, improving, and developing myself in regards to what I am doing. Even if I am approaching something for which I have no prior experience, my attitude is one of curiosity wherein I enjoy the process, because it is helping me grow both personally and professionally. I feel very confident that, regardless of the skills required, I can learn them and become competent quite quickly. Beyond that, I am never content to simply be “adequate” at a task, skill, or job, but instead, I want to see how much more I can expand and improve.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read my profile and consider me.
