I was born and raised in the United States but have had a lifetime's worth of experience in translating English to Spanish and vice versa. I have also remained in constant contact with foreign-language speakers. This helps me remain conscious of and alert for language errors, including those related to grammar and spelling. I have also been able to assist others in improving their public speaking skills by teaching them to make an outline, making suggestions, clarifying the role of each skill, and conducting practice sessions.

I am a rational person with a high EQ. When making decisions, I evaluate the pros and cons of various options and, if the situation calls for it, consult with others for ideas and advice. I can work on my own or with others. I am also a very honest person who refuses to lie, steal, cheat, etc. I believe that success and efficiency depend on a comfortable working environment and good relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients. I keep a polite, comfortable relationship with co-workers, but I am always professional and can put my emotions aside, if problems arise. These skills really help me handle the challenges associated with teaching.

I often work in language-related fields because I have an intense interest in languages. I am bilingual and TEFL certified. I speak, read, and write English and Spanish fluently. I also know limited French, and a little Korean, and have begun to learn a little Mandarin (Chinese). Studying languages helps me see more clearly the differences between them and the rules that dictate how ideas should be transmitted in written form. In addition to this, I have a passion for teaching and would welcome the opportunity to use this skill. With such interests and values, I find it fulfilling to use my skills in languages, knowing it will further effective communication.
